Ormai di gadget per la barra laterale di Windows Vista ce ne sono a disposizione una marea con le funzionalità più disparate ma questo fa un lavoro tutto particolare: consente lo spostamento di file direttamente dalla sidebar di vista in cartelle predefinite, settate al momento della configurazione del gadget. In poche parole si prende un file, lo si trascina su the magic folder gadget e lui automaticamente lo sposta nella cartella che avevamo indicato nella configurazione per quel tipo di file.
Supporta diverse estensioni.
The Magic Folder is a gadget that helps you categorize and move files. When you drag a file to the gadget it will look at the file extension and place Document files (like doc, xls, ppt, etc) in the Document folder. It places image files like (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, etc) into the Pictures folder. And many more extension types come pre-registered.
However, you can also add/remove file extensions recognized by the gadget and change where these files go.
You can even add your own folder locations!
And if you do not like folder redirection by extension you can change it to prompt you for the location each time.
Additionally, when you click The Magic Folder you can select from the list of folders and then jump directly to that folder in Windows Explorer.
