Se possedete uno dei gioiellini di casa Apple, non potete farvi mancare due alternative al software apple iTunes che ha qualche limitazione. Segnalerò (con riserva di aggiungerne altri), due software di cui uno gratuito e uno a pagamento (ma vi posso garantire che vale tutti i 29$ di prezzo).

1) Il primo gratuito è YamiPod (Yet Another iPod Manager), disponibile anche in lingua italiana:

Alcuni utenti hanno segnalato in qualche forum che il software in remoti casi può danneggiare il database dell’iPod: non viene cancellato alcun file ma i brani o le foto o i video possono venire assegnati alla cartella sbagliata.

Segnaliamo due link delle FAQ che sono di pubblica e frequente utilità:

1. Come ottenere il FWID (fwid is a 16 characters long string needed on new iPod models).
2. Libreria musicale danneggiata

2) Il secondo software (e questo è proprio un gioello) è Anapod Explorer (a pagamento):

Le funzioni di questo sono moltissime: si integra pienamente con l’Esplora Risorse di Windows, ha un peso totale di 1 MB!, supporto drag and drop, copia di file da iPod a PC come se si trattasse di un hard disk, accesso tramite browser, backup etc etc. Per la lista completa delle funzionalità vi rimando al sito originale perché sono davvero troppe da elencare.

Funzioni:

Output formatting
This gives you the option to select an output directory and the way the songs will be transferred.

Unattended Transfer
If you have the pleasure of owning one of the larger iPod’s then this option is for you, Simply set the options for this feature and it will deal with common errors like what to do if a song already exist on the destination drive etc.

Search
This does what most searches do, it searches!.

Playlists
If you use playlists on your iPod then this gives you the option to select any of the playlists and display the song within the selected list only.

Export Playlists
This option will export all of your playlists in to the standard .m3u format.
