Da normale utente di Gmail Manager , add on per Firefox, mi stavo chiedendo se ci fosse il modo per evitare di caricare il mio povero browser pieno zeppo di estensioni come un asino da soma e di delegare la stessa funzione a qualche comoda applicazione stay resident. Ecco che mi balza all’occhio un’applicazione di mamma Google che mi era passata totalmente indifferente: Gmail Notifier. La limitazione è che, al contrario di Gmail Manager supporta un solo account.
Però la ricerca non mi soddisfa e cerco ancora:
.. e scopro Gmail Assistant, nessuna installazione, gratuito, scritto in java, forse un po’ pesantino perché richiede Java Runtime Environment (JRE 6+) installato sul computer ma i test seguiranno (non vorrei che fosse la mia configurazione ad avere qualche falla). L’ultima versione di JRE può essere scaricata da http://java.sun.com/j2se.
